Ted is a certified tennis professional through the United States Professional Tennis Association, is a past president of the Mid-Atlantic USPTA, and currently serves as the head regional tester for certification in the USPTA.

While at West Winds to date, Ted's junior students have dominated the Frederick High School singles titles and most of the doubles titles.  In most cases, these players have also won the Mid-Maryland regional championships and finished as high as the finals in the Maryland High School State Championships.  Many of those players have acquired sectional and national rankings toward playing on college teams.

Ted also created three junior teams, which participate each winter in the Baltimore Junior Indoor League (BJIL).  While coaching the highest Red team, they finished in the semi's for the 1st year, finalists in the second year and won the league in years three & four.

Adult programs that Ted has developed include drill sessions, all levels of group clinics and USTA men's and ladies team practices from 2.5 to 4.0.  Players that Ted has coached have been very successful in both USTA tournaments and district/regional NTRP play-offs.
