Description
Tiny Beginner -
A perfect opportunity for your child to learn the FUNdamentals of tennis. We use low compression balls and small court sizes. Activities focus on building agility, balance and coordination skills (The ABC’s), while developing the on-court skills needed to serve, rally, and score. Prior to moving to the next stage of our program, these players will be able to demonstrate understanding of basic technique and maintain that technique during rallies.
Beginner- (Skill Level of those new or re-entering game of tennis)
This Program is designed as an intro to tennis. There is a high focus on fun on the tennis court and learning to move their bodies while growing motor skills, coordination, balance and agility via different drills and exercises. Players will develop rally skills using a proven progression that maximizes hitting time using slower and lighter balls and smaller court sizes that lead to confident play on a full size court. The goal is for everyone to develop confidence and learn basic skills to serve, rally, score, and understand doubles positioning and play all in a fun, friendly, active, and encouraging environment.
Intermediate – (Skill Level of those moving up from beginning ballers)
This program is designed for young players getting into the game. The focus of this class will be introducing the fundamentals of the game to include (ground strokes, volleys serves and over heads) through different drills, games, and plenty of repetition. We will also continue to work on coordination, movement, and fitness. Players will learn the importance of the rally and keeping balls in play as well as basic footwork patterns of movement. The goal for this class is to rally with a peer at a slow to medium pace.
Policy:
One make up class is allowed for each session. Make up class needs to be completed within each session and cannot be carried over into new session. Preapproval is required.
